College life offers many experiences, opportunities, relationships and academics. Our goal is to offer
something for your spiritual life. We believe that God created us to know Him personally and life was
meant to be lived in a relationship with Him. CRU is a place to develop yourself as a complete
person, to experience authentic community, to encounter the person of Christ, and to respond by
engaging the world around us.
When we see Christ for who He really is our lives are changed. Regardless of your background CRU is a place for to explore who Jesus is and take the next steps in your spiritual journey.
Our prayer for Western North Carolina is to see movements of students and faculty on every campus who are experiencing community, encountering Christ, and enaging thier world.
Blue Ridge Cru Staff
CRU is a staff directed, student led ministry. That means that there are full-time staff on campus to help you succeed in your ministry on campus! We are a resource and a backbone here long term so that as students come and go, CRU will maintain the same vision and focus for generations of students that come through your campus. We think that college students are an incredible resource that God can use to change your campus, your city, the country and the world. We are so honored to be a part of what the Lord does through you.
Josh and Susan Bolden
Josh is the director of Blue Ridge Cru. He and Susan have been
on staff with Cru since 1999. They first served at Duke University
before settling in Asheville in 2005. They have three children, Daniel,
Ashley, and Ryan. Josh can be found most days around campus
talking with students, playing basketball or frisbee golf, or playing
with his kids. Susan also loves playing with her children, but also
enjoys deep conversations with women on campus, and would love
to grab dessert with you almost any day.

Jonathan and Christa Beaufort
Jonathan and Christa moved to Asheville in 2009 after a several years at East Tennessee State University and a brief stint at our world headquarters in Orlando, FL. They have four young children. Jonathan and Christa love the outdoors and and have enjoyed exploring the trails in Western North Carolina.
